Tru Simulation and Training’s Wichita Aviation Maintenance Training Academy plans to add courses on maintenance and avionics initial courses for the Cessna Caravan 208, CJ Series, Excel Series, Sovereign, Sovereign Plus and Latitude models as well as the Beechcraft Baron and Bonanza models. Additionally, it will add maintenance and avionics initial courses for the single-engine high wing models of the Cessna Skyhawk, Skylane and Turbo Stationair.
AT&T has upgraded more than 30 cell towers on its 4G LTE network in the Wichita area to handle more network traffic, enhancing the area’s overall network capacity by about 18 percent.

Academy Sports and Outdoors is donating a $100 Academy gift card to each of 30 children from the Boys & Girls Club of South Central Kansas to use toward uniforms, athletic apparel, backpacks, shoes and other school necessities.
The Wichita Independent Business Association Scholarship has been established with a contribution of $10,000 to the Cowley College Foundation as part of WIBA’s economic development initiative to support students studying in the areas of advanced manufacturing; advanced materials; aerospace; agriculture; data services and information technology; health care; oil and gas; and transportation and logistics.
Staff members from the Gentiva Home Health & Hospice office will be distributing food collection bags and gathering donations for One Spark during the month of August as part of the company’s 12th Annual Food Drive.
