Kayl Barkley has joined the certified public accounting firm of Kirkpatrick, Sprecker & Company as a staff accountant.

Architecture

Cooper Dahms and Jake Karst have joined GLMV Architecture as summer interns in architecture.

Michael Castro has joined Health Facilities Group as a project designer.

Banking

Tracy Jones has been named assistant branch manager of the First Bank of Newton branch in Hesston.

Education

The WSU Foundation has announced new and renewing board members for 2017. New members are Martin Bauer, class of 1977; Denis Dieker, class of 1980, and Mike James, class of 1971. Returning board members are Debbie Haynes, class of 1976, a retired physician; and Barry Schwan, president of the House of Schwan. The 19-member board is chaired by Paul Allen, class of 1970, CEO of Allen Gibbs & Houlik. Board members are eligible to serve two, three-year terms.

Financial

Evan Wessel has joined Stoutheart Financial Group, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services as a business development specialist and is training to become an associate financial advisor.

Health Care

Sharon Foster, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse midwife, has joined Wichita Birth Assistance. Foster will also offer women’s health services.
