Homewood Suites by Hilton @ the Waterfront was ranked No. 22 on TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Top 25 Hotels for Exceptional Service in the U.S.

Charity

Wichita Community Foundation plans to award $140,000 in grants to 12 nonprofits through the Spirit AeroSystems Golf Classic Fund. The grant recipients are Kansas Food Bank, Community Food Bank of East Oklahoma, Rainbows United, Mary’s Kitchen Food Bank of North Carolina, Communities in Schools Wichita/Sedgwick County, Kansas Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs of South Central Kansas, Rise Up for Youth, Arts Partners, CASA of Sedgwick County, Real Men Real Heroes and KANSEL.

Kansas School for Effective Learning, which provides adult education including GED preparation, English as a second language and construction job training, received a $2,500 grant from Kansas Gas Service to purchase an online learning program for GED preparation. It also received a $10,000 grant from United Way of the Plains to purchase Rosetta Stone online language programs for its ESL classes.
