Sedgwick County’s average weekly wage was $960 in 2015
The average weekly wage in Sedgwick County was $960 as of last quarter of 2015, a 4.2 percent increase from a year earlier, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
That put Sedgwick County as the 218th fastest-growing among the country’s 343rd largest counties. It also reflects a nearly 1 percent increase in the number of people working.
Wyandotte County had the nation’s fastest-growing average wage, up 10.4 percent in 2015, to $1,037. That burst was driven by a $250 increase in manufacturing wages, up 21.2 percent from a year earlier.
