Underground Vaults and Storage of Hutchinson has acquired Concergent IT of Wichita to expand its variety of storage options.

Underground Vaults and Storage, established in 1959, operates three underground and six above-ground record storage and destruction facilities in four states. It is best known for storing unique items, such as movie film and props, in the 650-foot deep salt mine beneath Hutchinson.

It bought Concergent IT to provide new and different storage options for its clients, as well as provide hardware, software and services.

Concergent IT provides a range of products and services, including digital storage in a state-of-the-art data center. The company will become a division of UV&S, but will continue to do business as Concergent IT.

Dan Reisig will remain as president of Concergent IT, as will all 11 employees in their current roles.
