Nominations are open for the 2016 Leadership Wichita program, according to a news release.
The program, managed by the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce, is designed to offer a course on leadership to 30 area people interested in taking on more significant roles in the Wichita region. The program runs from Sept. 8 to Nov. 17, the release said.
Introduced in 1983, the program is designed to allow participants to gain insight into local government, economic development, education and media dealings while interacting with community and business leaders working to make progress in each area.
Since its inception, more than 750 business, government and military people have completed the program. Those interested in participating must be nominated by another person before submitting an application.
