Wichita-based IMA acquires Texas insurance brokerage

IMA Financial Group has acquired Dallas-based insurance brokerage Waldman Bros., according to a news release.

The acquisition gives IMA a division with nearly 70 employees. Waldman CEO Steve Waldman will assume the role of president of the new IMA/Waldman office, according to the release.

“Similar family friendly cultures and service lines offer a unique opportunity to create an unparalleled client-centric organization,” said Kurt Watson, IMA Financial Group’s president and chief operating officer, in the release.

A financial services company specializing in risk management, insurance and employee benefit solutions, IMA now employs 680 people in Kansas, Colorado, New York and Texas. The company is headquartered in Wichita and Denver.
