Small business expo set for May 4 at Wichita Boathouse

A business expo sponsored in part by the Wichita Independent Business Association is scheduled for May 4, according to a news release.

The inaugural Wichita Small Business Connect business-to-business expo will take place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. May 4 at the Wichita Boathouse, the release said. The event will be hosted by the association and Armstrong Chamberlin Strategic Marketing.

Designed to help promote growth and showcase businesses and local business-centered organizations, according to the release, the event is expected to include booths from more than 20 local businesses.

A number of presentations and workshops will also be available at the expo, which will occur during National Small Business Week.

The featured seminar for the event, presented by Armstrong Chamberlin, will be centered on the topic of how to leverage Google to grow a business. The event is free and open to the public.

Food trucks including Funky Monkey Munchies, Garden of Eatin’ and the Brown Box Bakery will be outside the venue and available to attendees from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the day of the expo.
