Butler entrepreneurship hall of fame to honor three
The latest inductees into the Fran Jabara Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame will be honored next week in Wichita, according to a release from the Butler Community College Foundation.
Scott Redler, chief operating officer of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, and Ron and Barbara Mann of Mann Properties and Nouveau boutique, among other business ventures, will be recognized April 27 for their entrepreneurial accomplishments, both past and present.
The ceremony and reception will begin at 6 p.m. and will take place at Noah’s Event Venue, 1550 N. Lindberg Circle. Redler and the Manns are the first inductees to the hall – which was started in 2006 – since 2013. The institution was formerly called the Mid-America Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame.
Spring graduates from Butler’s culinary arts and hospitality management programs will also be recognized.
“We have always had excellent honorees and this year is no different,” Stacy Cofer, Butler Community College’s vice president of advancement, said in a release. “It is also thrilling to show off our students who have worked very hard for this event and their degrees.”
The event was recently renamed for the late Fran Jabara, a Wichita businessman. Radio host Guy Bower of KNSS will be master of ceremonies, according to the release.
