Wichita leaders to take city-to-city tour to Nashville, Tenn., this year
Nashville, Tenn., is the next destination for the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 City-to-City Trip in the third week of September, according to a news release from the chamber.
Over the past decade, a host of area government, business and civic leaders have taken annual trips to other cities to visit with local leaders and see best redevelopment practices.
The three-day trip to Nashville will focus on learning about how community leaders approach workforce training, develop a healthy business environment, and strengthen the region’s economy, the release said.
Past cities are: Greenville, S.C.; Austin, Texas; Des Moines; Omaha; Pittsburgh; Louisville, Ky.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Oklahoma City; Fort Worth; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Richmond, Va.
