Tracy Carrington, formerly of Bob’s Place Barber Shop, has relocated to Avenue Style at 220 W. Douglas, Suite 155, in Page Court at Garvey Center. Grand opening
Fabric and craft retailer Jo-Ann will hold a grand opening beginning Thursday of its new store at 6930 W. Kellogg Drive. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, and grand opening events will be held at the store through Saturday.
New service
Prairie Eagle at 20217 W. Kellogg has signed on as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer to serve the Goddard area. It will offer U-Haul trucks, towing equipment, support rental items and in-store pickup for boxes. Its U-Haul rentals business is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The phone number is 316-413-4067.

Florida-based Brunswick Commercial and Government Products, which manufactures boats for military forces and law enforcement and fire and rescue agencies, has selected Sullivan Higdon & Sink for its 2016 marketing campaign.
Recognized
The Wichita section of the Society of Women Engineers received a Region I Invested Professional Award for its Engineering Expo event. The expo, held annually since 1998, is aimed at children in kindergarten through eighth grade to engage in a variety of fields in science, technology and engineering through interactive activities. Its most recent expo included more than 31 booths and 105 volunteers recruited by the Wichita SWE section members.
Kansas Medical Center was named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics.
Wealth management company Baird, which has a Wichita office, was ranked No. 6 on Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” in 2016. NuStar Energy, which also has a Wichita office, was ranked 19th on the Fortune list.
