Human resources society to host confrontation speaker

The Wichita Society for Human Resource Management will host a tactical confrontation speaker later this month, according to a news release.

Gary Sheely, a tactical confrontation specialist, is scheduled to address local human resources professionals and other attendees on March 16 at Abode Venue as part of the society’s monthly luncheon program, according to the release.

The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. During his presentation, Sheely will offer tips on how to confront problems constructively and diffuse anger, the release said. Sheely has more than 20 years of experience teaching confrontation and deescalation skills.

Being a member is not required to attend the event, which is open to any manager or businesses leaders, according to the release. Cost for the event is $30 for non-members, which includes lunch. To register, visit www.wichitashrm.org.
