Hot rod tour to stop in Wichita area in June
A cross-country hot rod car tour will pass through the Wichita area this summer, according to a news release.
The 2016 Hot Rod Power Tour is scheduled to make a stop here in June. The tour, which features drivers in souped-up vehicles who drive across the U.S. every year, boasted nearly 6,100 drivers last year, according to the release.
The 1,500-mile tour will run from June 11 through June 17, making seven official stops along the way. The Wichita area stop will take place at the Kansas Pavilions beginning at 6 p.m. June 16.
