The 125 N. Market building downtown will have another new tenant soon.

Wichita consulting firm BalancedComp is set to move in on the building’s 14th floor, according to Christie Summervill, the business’s owner.

“If we wanted to grow, we just had to get a larger space, and, boy, we did,” Summervill said.

The company, which provides salary and compensation consulting services for banks and credit unions, will occupy about 2,700 square feet, according to Bryce Baker of Security National, which owns the building.

Baker said a 38-month lease was signed for the space. Summervill said she expects to be in the renovated space by sometime next month.

“I know of no better place to recruit and retain the best talent in the market than downtown,” said Baker in an e-mail Monday morning. “We are seeing more and more companies, like BalancedComp, make the choice to locate in the center of the Wichita market.”

BalancedComp has nine full-time employees, Summervill said. The company currently makes its home inside the River Park Place office building at 727 N. Waco.

“It’s going to be a gorgeous space,” Summervill said. “We’re into our employees, and we want them to really like their environment. We’re going to overlook Century II, so when the fireworks go off on the 4th of July or during Riverfest, we’re going to have the party.”

Patrick Ahern and Kris Wessel of NAI Martens represented the BalancedComp in the deal.
