Hotel at Old Town is the hippest inn in Kansas, according to a recent Yahoo Travel post.
In a story that ran earlier this month, Yahoo writer Melinda Crow listed the “coolest” hotels in the “trendiest locales” in each state. The hotel is at 830 E. First St. in Wichita’s Old Town district.
“Who would have thought Wichita was hip,” Crow wrote. “Hotel at Old Town is walking distance to craft breweries, martini bars, and a handful of interesting eateries.”
Jennifer Finlay, general manager of the hotel, said she was excited to learn of the selection. Built in 1906, Hotel at Old Town was originally a warehouse for the Keen Kutter brand of tools and accessories. The inn is owned by hotelier Jack DeBoer.
