Chamber to host annual Chairman’s Lunch this week
The Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Chairman’s Lunch on Thursday, according to a news release.
The event, which will take place at Intrust Bank Arena with lunch served at noon, is set to feature a panel of Wichita and Sedgwick County leaders, who will explore drivers of economic growth in the area, according to the release.
Gary Plummer, the chamber’s president and CEO, will moderate the event, which will touch on four drivers of growth — business cycle, entrepreneurial, human capital, and perception — which were previously presented as part of the Wichita Community Foundation’s “Focus Forward” initiative, according to the release. More than 500 business leaders are expected to attend.
Discussion participants will include Wichita Mayor Jeff Longwell, City Manager Bob Layton, Chamber Chairman Barry Schwan, Sedgwick County Commission Chairman Jim Howell and Sedgwick County Manager Mike Scholes.
The event is sold out, according to the Chamber. For more information contact Rita Malinauskas at 316-268-1123.
