It’s not all about the money for companies trying to lure top talent: many are differentiating themselves with perks.
But it’s not just free food and paternity leave. Some companies offer sabbaticals, improv classes, tickets to Disneyland, free shipping for breast milk and even paying to have your eggs frozen.
Glassdoor, a website that collects employee reviews of their companies, selected 20 of the most unusual and attractive benefits according to its users.
1. Netflix: One year of paid maternity and paternity leave.
2. REI: Two paid “yay days” to go play in the wilderness
3. Salesforce: Six paid volunteer days and $1,000 to charity
4. Spotify: Egg freezing and fertility assistance, plus six months parental leave.
5. World Wildlife Fund: “Panda Fridays” give employees a three-day weekend every two weeks.
6. Airbnb: $2,000 stipend to stay at Airbnb listings anywhere in the world
7. PwC: $1,200 for student loan reimbursement
8. Pinterest: Two counseling sessions after your four paid months off and one month of part time hous
9. Burton: Season ski passes and “snow days” after the first big snowfall
10. Twilio: Free Kindle and $30 / month for books
11. Twitter: Three catered meals a day, acupuncture and improv classes
12. Accenture: Gender reassignment
