Cargill’s Honeysuckle White and Shady Brook Farms turkey brands have launched a multimillion-dollar marketing campaign aimed at encouraging consumers to give thanks to turkey producers.

New service

Wesley Healthcare has partnered with the Caregiver Co. in Wichita to develop and install a specially designed bed for patients’ families in hospital rooms. Wesley was the test site for the Caregiver Bed, which was developed, engineered, manufactured and assembled in Kansas.

Charity

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas Foundation made a $10,000 grant to the March of Dimes Greater Kansas Chapter, which will use the proceeds to expand the Healthy Babies Are Worth the Wait program in Sedgwick County.

Westar Energy made a $5,000 grant to Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland for the inaugural luncheon of the Juliette’s Pearls Leadership Society, which will feature former U.S. Sen. Nancy Kassebaum Baker as keynote speaker.

Citizens Bank of Kansas and its customers collected 3,313 pounds of peanut butter and $1,400 in cash donations for food pantries in Kingman, Winfield, Medicine Lodge, Pretty Prairie and Wichita.
