Kennedy and Coe has completed its merger with a California-based accounting and consulting firm, and it now has a new name.
K·Coe Isom is the firm’s new name following its merger with Chico, Calif.-based Isom and Matson, it announced Monday.
The merger creates a firm with $56.3 million in annual revenue, 360 employees and offices in 17 cities in five states and the District of Columbia, it said in a news release.
Those offices include one at 1605 N. Waterfront Parkway in Wichita.

Officials said the attraction in merging was driven by both firms’ specialization in agriculture and food production accounting and consulting.
“Food and ag makes up about two-thirds of our business,” said K·Coe CEO Jeff Wald, who previously was CEO of Kennedy and Coe, in the release. “Our firms came together because we shared a single vision: to positively impact the future of farming and food production in America.”
In the past two years Kennedy and Coe made a deep push into the agriculture and food production sectors. In 2013 it acquired Vela Environmental, an environmental consulting firm, and AgKnowledge, a Mississippi-based farm financial management company.
It also opened an office last year in Lenexa because Kansas City serves as a regional trade center for agriculture and food production.
