Ruffin set to speak at WIBA annual meeting
Wichita native and billionaire casino mogul Phil Ruffin will be the keynote speaker for the upcoming Wichita Independent Business Association meeting, according to a news release.
The meeting will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Wichita Marriott, 9100 Corporate Hills Drive, according to the release. Ruffin Companies employs more than 5,000 in the U.S., according to the release, and Ruffin also owns the Treasure Island casino in Las Vegas.
Cost to attend the meeting is $75 for business association members and $100 for non-members. For more information or to reserve a seat, contact the association’s office at 316-201-3264 or e-mail judy@wiba.org. Association president Lon Smith said capacity for the event is about 500 seats.
