Sunflower Bank promotes longtime employee Charles Gorney

Sunflower Bank has promoted Charles Gorney to senior vice president in charge of business development for Wichita, according to a news release.

Gorney, a Wichita resident, has worked for the bank for nine years, most recently as its vice president of wealth management, according to the release.

“Chuck has been with the bank for nine years and has proven time-and-again his ability to connect with the individuals and communities we serve,” said Sunflower Bank President/CEO Mollie Carter in the release. “His knowledge and years in the financial services industry help him serve as a trusted resource for customers across industry sectors and stages of financial needs.”

Gorney is a graduate of Leadership Wichita, a program run through the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce, and has been the featured guest speaker at a number of events around town, according to the release. Sunflower Bank is a community bank with $1.7 billion in assets, based in Salina.
