BKD joins forces with Peterson, Peterson & Goss

Accounting firm BKD has moved to acquire Peterson, Peterson & Goss.

Bill Pickert, managing partner of the Wichita office for BKD, confirmed Tuesday morning that the firms have joined forces, effective immediately. With the merger, the Peterson, Peterson & Goss name, which has been in Wichita since 1950, will go away, and BKD will add 14 employees.

“It’s a natural fit,” Pickert said. “We’ve always had a great relationship with Peterson, Peterson & Goss and a mutual repsect. I think this shows that BKD is committed to the Wichita community.”

The former Peterson, Peterson & Goss had been located downtown on North Topeka. BKD’s Wichita operation is headquartered at 1551 N. Waterfront Parkway in the Commerce Bank building.

Greg Sevier, who had served as Peterson, Peterson & Goss’ managing partner, and John Goss have become partners at BKD, which will add more than 1,000 clients because of the merger.
