Labor contracts seminar set for Dec. 1 at Wichita State
A labor laws and federal contracts seminar will take place Dec. 1 at Wichita State University’s Hughes Metropolitan Complex, according to a news release.
Sponsored in part by the Kansas Procurement Technical Assistance Center, the free seminar will be facilitated by Steve Koprince, a government contracts attorney based in Lawrence.
Koprince is scheduled to cover a range of topics pertaining to contracts and subcontracts, including hiring restrictions, right of first refusal for service employees, non-discrimination requirements, affirmative action and sick leave, according to the release. Koprince’s practice focuses on helping small businesses navigate the federal marketplace.
WSU, the city of Wichita and the Kansas Small Business Development Center are also sponsors of the event. The Hughes Metropolitan Complex is at 29th Street North and Oliver.
