For Lane, the best part about her new job is where it’s located – her alma mater, Wichita State University.
“I just love being on campus,” she said. “It’s a beautiful campus.”
Lane, 32, was born and raised in Wichita. She graduated from WSU in 2010 with a combined major in communications, sociology and anthropology. She worked for Entercom for almost four years, first as a news reporter for KNSS radio, then as webmaster for the company’s five Wichita stations.
“That developed into a bit more than just being webmaster,” she said. “I was handling pretty much all the digital communications, the online presence for all the radio stations.”

During college, Lane worked as a graphic designer for the Rhatigan Student Center, designing posters and helping with the renovation effort, a process finished this fall.
In November, she moved to the Ulrich, where her job is “helping inform the public of what we have going on” and managing the museum’s marketing budget.
Outside work, Lane enjoys listening to live local musicians and finding homes for abandoned dogs.
“I don’t actually love rescuing dogs, but I can’t help doing it.”
