Buhler’s IdeaTek agrees to sell part of its business to Colorado broadband provider
A Colorado company that operates fiber networks and data centers in the U.S. and Europe is acquiring a portion of a Buhler-based firm.
Zayo Group LLC said in a news release that it has signed an agreement to purchase IdeaTek’s carrier and enterprise business, which includes a fiber optic network with “a dense metro footprint in Wichita.”
The release said IdeaTek will retain its residential and small commercial business, and it continue to operate under the name IdeaTek Telecom.
IdeaTek officials couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. In addition to fiber optic networks, the company provides digital phone services.
Zayo is based in Boulder and has operations in France and the United Kingdom.
