Towne East, Towne West to give away gift cards Saturday

They’re calling it the holiday “Spread Love” campaign, but officials at Towne East and Towne West Square will also spread some happiness on Saturday.

They plan to give away 20 gift cards, worth $100 each, at the two centers, according to information from the malls.

The Simon Giftcards will be given to randomly selected shoppers between noon and 1:30 p.m. at Towne East Square and between 3:30 and 5 p.m. at Towne West. Indianapolis-based Simon and its affiliates own both malls.

In addition to the $100 gift cards, the lucky shoppers picked will also each receive a $25 gift card to share or “pay forward.”

“Our shoppers demonstrate time and again how generous they are by contributing to our local food and clothing drives, donating to Simon Youth Foundation, and participating in our community events benefiting others,” Jodi Karlin, area director of marketing and business development at the malls, said in a statement. “On December 6, we want to say ‘thank you’ to our shoppers while tapping into that contagious spirit of generosity and encouraging Giftcard recipients to ‘Spread Love’ to other shoppers.”

Both centers also plan to offer extended shopping hours and other holiday amenities through December.
