Simmons First completes acquisition of Ozark Trust and Investment Corp.

The holding company for Simmons First National Bank announced Friday that it has completed an acquisition of Ozark Trust and Investment Corp.

Simmons First National Corp. announced its planned absorption of the Missouri-based corporation in April. The deal includes the corporation’s non-depository trust subsidiary, according to a news release.

Trust Company of the Ozarks, the subsidiary, provides investment management and trust services, retirement account rollovers and transfers, successor trustee services and custodial services.

With the completion of the acquisition, Arkansas-based Simmons First has about $7.6 billion in assets and more than 2,300 associates in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee, according to the release. Simmons First has two Wichita locations.
