Phil Ruffin to keynote WIBA’s annual meeting

Real estate investor and casino owner Phil Ruffin will be the keynote speaker at the Wichita Independent Business Association’s annual meeting in January, the small-business group announced Wednesday.

Ruffin owns Treasure Island Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas strip including numerous properties in Wichita and across the country. His Ruffin Cos. also includes, lodging, manufacturing, energy, and retail enterprises that employ more than 5,000 people across the country, according to WIBA.

The WIBA meeting is set for 6 to 9 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the Wichita Marriott, 9100 Corporate Hills.

WIBA is currently seeking sponsorships for the annual meeting.
