Charles and David Koch jointly named 5th-richest Americans

Charles and David Koch have been jointly named the fifth-richest Americans by Forbes Magazine at $41 billion apiece.

They are the 84-percent owners of Wichita-based Koch Industries, an oil transportation and refining, ethanol, chemicals, fertilizer, fibers and electronics company worth $100 billion.

The Kochs came in behind Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett, Oracle founder Larry Ellison and Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos. The list was released last month and will be featured in the Oct. 19 print version of Forbes Magazine.
