Wood Snodgrass executive search firm sees ownership change
Steve Snodgrass, a Winfield native and former Kansas State University men’s and women’s tennis coach, recently bought out his partner to retain full ownership in the Wood Snodgrass search firm, according to a news release.
Based in Overland Park, the company provides executive search and management consulting services to clients nationwide, the release said. Snodgrass and Bill Wood had partnered to run the firm for 15 years.
“I have known Bill for more than 20 years,” Snodgrass said in the release. “We’ve enjoyed a tremendous track record of success. I am delighted that Bill will continue to provide counsel to our clients in an advisory capacity as the firm continues to grow and expand.”
The duo co-founded the firm after both served as principals of the executive search division within DeFrain-Mayer, a Midwest human resources consulting firm. Along with the ownership change, Wood Snodgrass will also establish a new division, dubbed True Advantage, within the company, according to the release. Wood Snodgrass vice president Brian Kuntz will head the new division.
Snodgrass had stints as the coach of the Kansas State women’s and men’s tennis teams in the 1970s and 1980s.
