Gas prices in the Wichita area averaged $2.08 on Monday, up 3 cents from a week ago, according to GasBuddy.com.

A year ago, the price of gasoline in the Wichita area was $3.11.

Prices for fuel should remain low and even fall as the cheaper, cold-weather formula gasoline becomes more common, according to the firm.
