Grand openings
Simply Mac will host a grand opening from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday of its first Wichita location at 2413 N. Maize Road, Suite 101, in NewMarket Square.
Hobby Lobby will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening of its Derby store at 9 a.m. Monday. The 55,000-square-foot store is Hobby Lobby’s 15th store in Kansas. It is located at 1712 N. Rock in Derby Marketplace.
Ribbon cutting
Wichita Friends School will hold a ribbon cutting of its expansion at 4 p.m. Friday at 14700 W. Kellogg.
New services
Sound Physicians will begin providing hospitalist coverage for Hutchinson Clinic Physicians at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center beginning Nov. 3 under an agreement signed last week.
Recognized
Via Christi Health was recognized by the Kansas Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for being nominated for the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The Freedom Award is the highest recognition given by the U.S. government to employers for their support of employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.
