Trust Company of Kansas recognized for support of arts

The Trust Company of Kansas has been recognized by a national nonprofit arts advancement organization for its work in Wichita, according to a news release.

Americans for the Arts recently tapped The Trust Company and nine other U.S. companies for their “exceptional commitment” to the arts. The Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit will honor the company during a black-tie gala at the Central Park Boathouse in New York City on Oct. 6, according to the release.

The Trust Company, an employee-owned financial advisement and trust firm, was selected for providing financial support to arts organizations and artists throughout Kansas, said Americans for the Arts spokeswoman Inga Vitols.

In 2004, the company created a communications program called “Wichita: Supporting the Arts,” which encourages residents, businesses and tourists to support nonprofit arts organizations in Wichita and surrounding communities, according to the release. The company was nominated for the honor by the Arts Council of Wichita.
