Grand opening

Starbucks will have a grand opening of its Towne East Square location beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday. In conjunction with the grand opening, Towne East will provide gift cards to the first 50 Starbucks customers. The new Starbucks is in the food court at Towne East, 7700 E. Kellogg Drive.

Moved

Flint Hills Spas has moved to 6350 E. Central, next to Williams Ace Hardware, near Central and Woodlawn. The store offers hot tubs, swim spas, grills, saunas, gazebos and patio accessories. It is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The phone number is 316-733-1200.

Underground Vaults & Storage has relocated its Document Resources destruction division in Manhattan to 5106 Murray Road, near the Manhattan Regional Airport. The move allows the company to expand the size and capacity of the Manhattan destruction operations center. The Hutchinson-based company also has operations in Wichita.

New service

Zipcar will introduce its new service at Wichita State University from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Rhatigan Student Center east patio.

Recognized

LMI Aerospace was named 2015 Strategic Partner of the Year by Spirit AeroSystems. LMI operates a machining center and a fabrication and composites center in Wichita.

Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER recently underwent its one-year survey for Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders certification and was awarded Level III senior-friendly status.

Charity

BKD Foundation, the charitable arm of accounting and consulting firm BKD, said it donated $1.1 million through 300 contributions in 2014.
