Jim Mathis, Kermit Baker to headline speakers at Kan-Struct

Business transformation author Jim Mathis and economist Kermit Baker will serve as keynote speakers for this month’s Kan-Struct conference in Wichita, according to a news release.

The three-day event, a collaboration between the American Institute of Architects Kansas, American Council of Engineering Companies of Kansas and Associated General Contractors of Kansas, is scheduled to take place Sept. 16-18 at the Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center.

Mathis, author of the book, “Reinvention Made Easy,” will speak about turnarounds and reinvention stories and strategies in an ever-changing business climate. An economist for the institute of architects’ national organization, Baker will discuss current and emerging trends, particularly in the Kansas market as compared with other areas around the country.

The convention is billed as an event that will bring together industry leaders, speakers, continuing education classes for licensing renewals and panel discussions about industry topics. Kan-Struct will serve to replace each of the annual conferences for all three organizations.
