WSU alum to talk about Silicon Valley success

A Wichita State alumnus who is the founder of a Silicon Valley start-up will talk about his career and entrepreneurism in a lecture next week.

Khalid Raza has had a career in computer networking at Cisco and Hewlett-Packard before helping start Viptela, a San Jose, Calif.-based firm that provides solutions to computer networking challenges. He will deliver a lecture, “Wichita State University to Silicon Valley Success: Embracing Risk for Entrepreneurial Triumph.”

Raza received a master’s degree in industrial engineering from WSU in 1992.

The lecture will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Rhatigan Student Center, Beggs Ballroom. It is free and open to the public.
