WoodSpring franchisee to add second south Florida hotel

WoodSpring Suites will add another property in Florida.

The Wichita-based extended-stay hotel chain said Tuesday franchisee Gold Coast Premier Properties will develop a WoodSpring hotel in Doral, Fla.

It will be Gold Coast’s second WoodSpring property in south Florida.

“Doral is an extraordinary market in which the demand for extended stay exceeds the supply,” Raul Garcia, Gold Coast president, said in a news release Tuesday.

WoodSpring, formerly Value Place, has 197 hotels — 84 that are company-owned — in 31 states.
