Koch Industries will be coming to Butler Community College’s El Dorado campus in September for students and members of the public to “ explore career options and to make valuable career connections with members of Koch companies,” according to a news release.
On Sept. 9, Koch representatives will give two sessions in the Hubbard Welcome Hall, 901 S. Haverhill Road: one from 9 a.m. to noon and a second from 1 to 5 p.m.
A free lunch will be provided from noon to 1 p.m. in the hall.
During the presentations, people can ask Koch recruiters about potential career paths and internship opportunities.
Butler officials encourage students to be prepared for an interview with a recruiter, which means to come in formal dress, have resumes available and be ready to answer questions.
According to the release, information technology majors “are particularly sought after,” but others in engineering, welding, accounting and various other degree fields are welcome.
