Costco is changing store hours across Kansas. Some shoppers will get early access
Wholesale club Costco announced in a June 11 Instagram post those with an executive membership will be able to shop early at U.S. stores soon.
The new executive member shopping hours will begin Monday, June 30 and will run from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, 9 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday and 9 to 10 a.m. Sunday, the social media post said.
“In addition, U.S. warehouses will stay open one extra hour on Saturday, closing at 7 p.m. for all members,” Costco spokesperson Muriel Cooper wrote in a June 26 email to McClatchy News.
Regular store hours for Wichita’s Costco location are 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, until the updated hours begin Monday.
The base level Costco membership, the “Gold Star Membership,” costs $65 per year pre-tax and includes shopping access in stores and online, with two membership cards.
The Executive Membership will run you $130 per year before tax, and includes an annual 2% reward on purchases (up to $1,250) and additional benefits and discounts on “select Costco services,” as well as the new early shopping hours beginning Monday.
Wichita’s Costco is located at 9700 E. Kellogg.
