A longtime Wichita tech company will make its way to downtown Wichita in 2023.

Keycentrix will move from a business park building at 2420 N. Woodlawn to a 1916 building at the corner of Douglas and Emporia. The company has provided “business-enhancing software and technology for pharmacies” since 1974, according to its website.

Keycentrix president Luis Rodriguez said the sale of the building was done through Vantage Point Properties. The tech company is the first tenant in the building since 2018, when A Legacy Antique mall closed after being in the space for almost 30 years.

The move will help expand the company by “adding jobs and tech industry visibility,” according to a Keycentrix news release.

“As a company rooted in the Midwest that puts an emphasis on hiring talent from our area, we could not be more excited to grow in the place that we love, Rodriguez said.

Keycentrix joins NetApp, Hightouch Technologies, Novacast and Cornerstone Data among tech companies in downtown Wichita. Netability, a regional IT services company in Kansas, will move with Keycentrix into the building, according to the release.

The building will house 86 workers, including 80 Keycentrix employees, Rodriguez said over the phone.

LK architecture and ICON structures will help in renovating the space.

Rodriguez said Vantage Point Properties will lease space on the ground floor that faces Emporia to future tenants.
