Income growth in Wichita area down in 2013
Personal income per person in the Wichita area grew just 1.6 percent in 2013, the most recent year available, according to data released Wednesday by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Personal income incorporates wages, commissions, benefits, rent, interest, dividends and government payments such as social security and unemployment.
The growth in personal income for the metro region is down from 3.5 percent growth in 2012 and 7.7 percent in 2011.
