US stocks are little changed ahead of Fed minutes
Stocks are moving between slight gains and losses in midday trading as traders digest the latest corporate earnings news.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down five points, less than 0.1 percent, to 16,726 as of noon Eastern time Wednesday. The Dow plunged 272 points the day before.
The Standard and Poor’s 500 fell two points, or 0.1 percent, to 1,932. The Nasdaq composite fell 10 points, or 0.2 percent, to 4,375.
Costco Wholesale rose 2 percent after the company reported earnings and revenue that came in ahead of what analysts were looking for.
Later Wednesday the Federal Reserve releases minutes from its latest policy meeting last month.
Bond prices were little changed. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note held steady at 2.34 percent.
