Job fair aims to help workers with disabilities
A job fair that aims to help people with disabilities is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Workforce Center, 2021 N. Amidon, Suite 1100.
The WorkAbility Wichita Job Fair is being sponsored by a number of agencies and businesses, including the workforce center, according to a news release.
The event, which is free, will include resources that will help people connect to education and training, as well as provide information on pursuing part-time or full-time jobs.
Benefits counseling sessions will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for those who receive Social Security payments and want to know how earned income could affect their payments.
Job seekers should bring an up-to-date resume and dress appropriately.
