Criminal defense law firm Monnat & Spurrier has launched a new twice-monthly podcast, “Just In Case,” featuring brief analyses of the just-in criminal law cases decided by the Kansas Appellate Courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Wesley Medical Center has been designated a Baby-Friendly Hospital through a global program sponsored by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund. Baby-Friendly USA, the U.S. authority for the program, awarded Wesley the designation.

Charity

Kohl’s department stores donated more than $53,000 to Via Christi Health’s pedestrian and bicycle safety education program, Kohl’s Safety Town.

Wichita Federal Credit Union awarded a total of $8,000 in scholarships to eight graduating high school and college students from the Wichita area.
