WIBA luncheon to feature foes, supporters of proposed sales tax
Supporters and opponents of the proposed sales tax for Wichita will be featured at the Oct. 14 Wichita Independent Business Association luncheon.
Jennifer Baysinger of the Coalition for a Better Wichita will give a presentation against the ballot measure, according to a news release from WIBA. Jon Rolph and Moji Fanimokun of Yes Wichita are scheduled to speak in support of the 1 percent sales tax. City manager Bob Layton will talk about the proposal and what it includes.
The luncheon is from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wichita Boathouse, 515 S. Wichita. The cost is $20 and reservations are required by Friday.
