Charity
Thirty-seven Kansas credit unions and the Kansas Credit Union Association have raised $221,691 to support Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in the state: KU Medical Center in Kansas City, St. Francis Health Center in Topeka and Via Christi Hospitals in Wichita.
Bank of America Charitable Foundation has awarded $87,500 in grants to nine nonprofits providing workforce development and education opportunities. The organizations receiving the grants are: Arc of Sedgwick County, Butler County Community College Foundation, Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation of Kansas, Goodwill Industries of Kansas, Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters, Kansas School for Effective Learning, Wichita Educational Foundation, Wichita State University Foundation and Youth Entrepreneurs.
Wilbeck Wellness & Chiropractic donated $3,000 to help fund research for spinal muscular atrophy.
