Initiative to bolster state exports slates meetings
The ExportNow Kansas Program, aimed at Kansas companies with potential for exports, will hold its first meeting Oct. 30 in Manhattan.
That is planned to be the first of six meetings across the state.
Managed by Wichita-based Kansas Global Trade Services, the program is aimed at increasing exports by raising awareness among companies and governments, and by connecting those companies with trade expertise. The program is being funded by $250,000 in state funding.
The Manhattan meeting will be 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce. More meetings will be in November and December in Wichita, Hays, Dodge City, Olathe and southeast Kansas, with times and locations to be announced.
The meetings are free, but reservations are required. For more information, contact Ella Reusser at the Wichita Kansas Global office at reusser@kansasglobal.org or 316-264-5982.
