Eagle’s top executive to step down

Wichita Eagle General Manager Dale Seiwert has announced that he is leaving the company effective Nov. 1. Seiwert, who has worked at The Eagle for nearly 40 years, said he and his family plan to stay in the Wichita area.

Tony Berg, previously the regional publisher for McClatchy’s Central Division, will step in as the publisher of Kansas.com and The Wichita Eagle.
