Opening

Monty and Lora Cruse will open a Miracle-Ear Service Center on June 1 in the Chisholm Trail Mall in Newton. The address is 601 SE 36th St., Suite 143D. The phone number is 316-283-7202. During its grand opening from June 1 to June 3, the business will offer free hearing screenings from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. as well as serve refreshments and offer prize drawings.

Charity

Koch Industries awarded $60,000 in scholarships to 40 college students through its Discovery Scholarship program.

Wells Fargo donated $15,000 to Wichita Habitat for Humanity for construction of a home at 1255 N. Poplar St. Wells Fargo employees will volunteer on June 4 at the site. The build is part of Habitat’s Rock the Block Initiative.

Midwest Single Source awarded its Red Carpet Customer Service Award to Wichita Public Schools’ Chisholm Life Skills Center. The award consists of a $1,000 check, a banner, and basket full of school supplies.

ForeverLawn of Wichita donated and installed 1,200 square feet of synthetic Playground Grass with SafetyCel at Elm Neighborhood Park at Central and Grove.

Recognized

RedGuard received a Certificate for Outstanding Achievement in Highway Safety by the Kansas Motor Carriers Association.

Wesley Medical Center’s organ donor program received an Excellence in Donation award from the Midwest Transplant Network.
