Corn conditions remain strong as harvest continues

The corn harvest in south-central Kansas is about half way complete, and about a quarter complete statewide, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Corn quality statewide was rated as strong.

The grain sorghum harvest is just getting underway in the state. Sorghum conditions were rated 4 percent very poor, 10 percent poor, 32 percent fair, 45 percent good, and 9 percent excellent.

The soybean harvest has not started. Soybean conditions were rated 3 percent very poor, 10 percent poor, 35 percent fair, 42 percent good, and 10 percent excellent.
